French Meat and Cheese Pillivuyt China Plates
We offer two sets of charming white china plates made by Pillivuyt
in France. The line drawings are based on the cartoons of a well
known French cartoonist.
The smaller 8" plates are decorated with illustrations
of cheese. These include La Fourme d'Ambert - Auvergne; Diablotin
d'Epicure - Roquefort Noix and Beurre Poin; Crottin de Chavignol
- Fromage de chevre accompagne de vin blanc; and Munster - Alsace.

The larger 9.75" plates are decorated with delightful
drawings of the principle ingredient of classic French dishes
and including a list of the other ingredients. Included are Lapin
- lapin, vin blanc, ail, puree de tomates, creme; Saulpiquet monbardois
belin - jambon, vin blanc, champignons, citron, cognac; Cotes
de porc a l'auvergnate - cotes de porc, vin blanc, fromage rape;
and Faisan aux endives - faisan, oignons, citron, endives, and
carottes.
