Figural 1950's Horse & Clock
Once Westerns ruled the airwaves. Hopalong Cassidy, Roy Rogers,
Gene Autry, Gunsmoke, Maverick, Have Gun Will Travel and many
more shows had millions of viewers. An afternoon at the movies
almost always included a Western serial. Full length feature films
starred some of the best known actors of the day such as John
Wayne, Randolph Scott, and Glenn Ford. We could tell the good
guys from the bad guys, there were bloodless shoot-outs, and attractive
saloon keepers. If you were really lucky and your parents were
really in the swing of the times they bought one of these figural
horses with clock. It occupied an honored place on the television
or mantle. Our example includes a brass colored spelter horse
with saddle and an electric clock in a case with decorative cowboy
hat and boots. They rest on a butterscotch colored plastic base.
The clock is in running order. 17" long x 11.5" high
x 5" deep. Very nice condition. (Stock number 003Horse/Clock)
