Palais de L'Industrie Souvenir Plate from Exposition Universelle
de 1900 Lovely transferware plate depicts the Palace of Industry
with pedestrians and horses and carriages in the foreground.
The 7.5" octagonal plate has no chips or cracks. The reverse
reads Terre de Fer Vermont Fres., 12, Avenue de L'Opera, Rue Auber,

Exposition Universelle de 1900 Paris Opening Day Souvenir
Plate marks the inauguration of the fair on April 14, 1900
by President Loubet. On the plate there is a list of attractions
and activities planned for that day. They include the opening
of the electric tramway, the first segment of a bicycle race and
a performance of Edmond Rostand's "Apparition de la Manche
Gigot" starring Madame Sarah Bernhardt. A formal ball at
the Elysee Palace and a banquet were also scheduled. There are
no markings on the back. There are no chips or cracks. The plate
has a diameter of 9.75". (Stock number 003wf1900Plate) $150.00
