New Departure Bicycle Brakes Advertising Posters
"New Departure" created a series of window ads featuring
photographs of attractive young women enjoying and promoting cycling.
In addition, the company advertised in print media such as Life
Magazine calling upon Geo. Price, a well known illustrator, to
draw cartoons promoting their line of bicycle coaster brakes.
We believe these advertisements ran during the early 1940's. The
ads measure 16" x 24.75" They suffer from paper loss,
tears and folds, foxing, staining and tack holes. Still a most
enlightening look at 60 year old advertisements.

crickets! My feet's afire! Why didn't I take Maw's bike with
