Morse & Kaley Black Card Darning Cotton Wooden Box


Once upon a time New England was king of textile manufacturing. Virtually every town that nestled along a river had a Mill on its banks. With time hundreds of companies who were once household names have passed into oblivion. We know of them through the products they made and the advertising displays used to sell them. We offer a countertop display box for Black Card Darning Cotton. Morse & Kaley, the manufacturer, established in 1840, was located in Milford, New Hampshire. They also produced knitting cotton, crochet cotton, Lenox crochet cord, darning cottons and worsteds on cards and balls. The latched wooden box measures 13" x 7.5" x 3" The inner paper label in intact. There is some paper loss on the label on the top. The box is scratched and worn.
