Morse & Kaley Black Card Darning Cotton Wooden Box
Once upon a time New England was king of textile manufacturing.
Virtually every town that nestled along a river had a Mill on
its banks. With time hundreds of companies who were once household
names have passed into oblivion. We know of them through the products
they made and the advertising displays used to sell them. We offer
a countertop display box for Black Card Darning Cotton.
Morse & Kaley, the manufacturer, established in 1840, was
located in Milford, New Hampshire. They also produced knitting
cotton, crochet cotton, Lenox crochet cord, darning cottons and
worsteds on cards and balls. The latched wooden box measures 13"
x 7.5" x 3" The inner paper label in intact. There is
some paper loss on the label on the top. The box is scratched
and worn. (Stock number 003Morse&Kaley) $100.00
