Bluepoint Oyster Advertising Poster
Bluepoint Oyster Poster This is the only advertising
poster for oysters that we have ever encountered. It reads "Genuine
Bluepoint Oysters in the Shell or Opened - Direct from the Great
South Bay, Long Island, The Only Place in the World they Grow
- Ask for Free Oyster Recipe Booklet." There are images of
oysters on the half shell, a bowl of oyster chowder and fishermen
hauling in oysters in their nets. We believe the poster was printed
in the 1940's. The poster measures 13.75" wide x 21.75"
