1940's Countertop Shoe Store Signs
We found a small cache of easel-back signs in the attic of
a Portland, Maine home. This group of 1940's shoe store signs
came from a store located on Congress Street in downtown Portland.
The countertop signs are quite austere in design as befits the
mood of a nation at war. The point-of-purchase advertising emphasized
the style and comfort of the shoes that were available in that
store at a time when there were limited choices. Some of them
are lightly soiled but they remain interesting examples of 60
year old point-of-purchase promotional pieces.
Price is $15.00 each or 2 for $25.00
