Trolley Advertising Signs
Trolley Advertising Signs were displayed on all variety
of public transportation; subways and busses as well as trolleys.
It was an effective and inexpensive way to keep the brand fixed
in the mind of the public. Many products were advertised in this
way including household goods, food, tobacco, and alcoholic beverages.
The signs measure approximately 21" wide x 11" high.

retailers. This circa 1918 trolley sign has some condition problems
but is in remarkably good condition for its age. There are some
light creases on the left side, a small tear at the top and several

of its day (probably the 1930's). Its claim to fame was its ease
and broad range of use. It claimed to restore the newness and
beauty to pianos, furniture, woodwork, hardwood floors and white
