R. E. Whitman Tradesman - Point of Sale Die-cut Sign
This marvelous stock chromolithograph die-cut of a beautiful
young girl holding a bouquet of lily-of-the-valley and surrounded
by roses was imprinted as a point of purchase sign for R. E.
Whitman of South Braintree Massachusetts. The sign reads "R.
E. Whitman South Braintree Massachusetts/Dry Goods, Furnishings,
Shoes, Rubbers." .It measures approximately 12" wide
x 18.5" high. The rose on the upper right corner is missing
and there are some creases and small tears but it remains an exceptional
example of early 20th century advertising. (Stock Number 003Whitman)
