Jesse Wilcox Smith Print
Jesse Wilcox Smith (1863-1935) was one of America's most beloved
illustrators. She was a student of Howard Pyle, the "father
of American illustration." She specialized in pictures of
mothers and children for magazines. In addition to creating nearly
100 covers for "Good Housekeeping" she was noted for
her endearing illustrations of children's books.
Framed print of a young girl in the woods admonishing her
three teddy bears to mind themselves. Signed "Jesse Wilcox
Smith" in the plate, lower left. The print measures 9"
wide x 12" high. The framed piece measures !0.5" x 13.25"
