Maxfield Parrish Covers on Scribner's Magazine December 1899
An exceptional find. A rare intact copy of Scribner's Magazine
from December 1899. Both the front and back covers were created
by Maxfield Parrish. Inside the issue is a illustrated suite of
drawings - The Seven Ages of American Women by Charles Dana Gibson
(including a great drawing of a woman with a golf club on her
shoulder) and illustrations by Glackens, Sterner and Christy.
A virtual who's who of Golden Age illustration. Front cover has
edge damage and a teat at lower right as can be seen from the
above image. Back cover is in somewhat better condition. The interior
is clean. The covers alone book for $250.00 (Stock number 002parrish01).
