19th Century Needlework and Crafts Prints
In the later half of the nineteen century, Ladies magazines
with emphasis on fashion and household skills enjoyed enormous
popularity. Peterson's Magazine was one of these publications.
We have been fortunate to acquire a collection of prints from
these magazines from the state of a Maine needlewoman. Needlecraft
projects illustrated include appliqué, crochet, crewel
and needlepoint. Mat and frame these for an unique truly antique
