"Brooklyn Bridge" an Etching by William Walcot
William Walcot (1874-1943), the son of an English
father and a Russian mother was born in Odessa, Russia. Although
he trained as an architect he was unable to establish himself
and was generally employed as a draftsman for other architects.
He supported himself in the 1920's by doing etchings. These works
were widely collected. He was best known for his series of recreations
of classical buildings and events.
We offer here his rendition of the Brooklyn Bridge. Sight
