Hotel Bemelmans by Ludwig Bemelmans New York: The Viking Press 1946.380 pages. Bemelmans (1898-1962) was an American painter, illustrator and writer. As a teenager he worked in the dining room of a restaurant for three years and then enlisted in the service when we entered WWI. He has written several autobiographical books, this being one of them, run his own restaurant, written and illustrated children's books, most notably the Madeline series, done settings for a Broadway play and was a frequent contributor to Vogue, Town and Country and The New Yorker.

He has written and illustrated this book. Book, very good-fine, dust jack very good. The front flap is detached but present and there are some folds, tears and nibbles. It is a very charming volume. (Stock number 003Bemelmans) $50.00
