Palmer Cox Primers & Children's Books

Palmer Cox, author of the Brownies, co-wrote with E. Veale, the Fairy Tales authoress, six illustrated children's books given as advertising premiums. In each package of Union Club Coffee or Russian Oolong Tea was a coupon which entitled the bearer to one of the Palmer Cox books. The 32 page booklets had black and white illustrations and contained several stories. They are copyrighted 1896. They measure 6.25" wide x 9" high. They are in exceptional condition given their age and the poor quality of paper used. Defects are noted. Click on picture to see an enlarged image.
