Gustav Stickley was one of the earliest American proponents
of the Arts and Grafts Movement. He brought the principles and
ideas of Thomas Carlyle, John Ruskin and William Morris to the
United States. In volume 1 number 1 Stickley acknowledges his
debt to Morris to whom the magazine is dedicated.
Volume 1 (Nos. 1- 6) October 1901 - March 1902. Bound together
in a leather arts and crafts binding. Bindi g has been rubbed
and is separating at early pages - front and back. Contents are
