Girlhood Days - Pulp Newspaper for Girls of All Ages
Girlhood Days was published every week by The Standard Publishing
Company of Cincinnati, Ohio. Said to be targeted toward girls
of nine to ninety years, it included a variety of articles of
interest to young ladies. In addition to a serialized or complete
novel and several short stories (usually of the romance variety),
there was a column on "Handicrafts", "The Young
Housekeeper" cooking column, a weekly "Our Bible Class",
"Puzzle Box", and "Odd Moments with the Naturalist"
nature column. There was also poetry and random tidbits urging
girls to be charitable and encouraging friendship. The eight page
pulp measured 11" x 14". An annual subscription cost
75 cents. All the issues we are offering are discolored at the
fold, have discolored pages, some soiling, and rough edges. All
are complete. Other defects are noted. Click on the title of the
