1939 New York World's Fair Poster - Howard Scott

The New York World's Fair of 1939 came about at the end of
the Great Depression. Despite ominous rumblings in Europe, most
Americans believed they had put the worst of the decade behind
them. Howard Scott's 1940 New York World's Fair poster illustrates
the pride and optimism the fair represented. The poster, mounted
on linen, measures 20" x 30", the linen backing is 22.5"
x 32.5". ©N.Y.W.F. Restored and mounted on linen. Evidence
of tears, folds, edge roughness. An uncommon and good-looking
piece. (Stock number 003wfposter2) SOLD
