1876 U. S. Centennial International Exhibition Philadelphia
Prints
The 100th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence was
marked by a majestic exhibition held in Fairmount Park, Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania. State, federal and international displays were joined
by agricultural, manufacturing and cultural exhibits. They offered
the most innovative, technologically advanced and artistically
significant goods available at the time. We have acquired a small
selection of original lithographs from this splendid event. These
generously proportioned plates, 28" wide x 20" high,
are photo-lithographs by Julius Bien, N.Y. The edges are rough
on some of the pages and there is a small amount of paper loss
but matted and framed they would make a imposing display. Click
