Hand Wrought Iron Fishing Spears
Eel and fish spears and clam rakes were all tools of the trade
for the New England fisherman. They were frequently hand forged
and their form was determined solely by their function. Today
we can view them as both interesting social historical artifacts
as well as aesthetically pleasing objects. The spears we are offering
all show signs of heavy use.
