Christmas Seal Milk Bottle Collars 1930s-1940s
At one time all milk came in bottles and many people had their
milk delivered to their doorstep. By placing advertising "collars"
on the bottles an advertiser or organization could effectively
and inexpensively reach a large audience. The Christmas Seal Foundation
in cooperation with local dairies provided Christmas Seal collars.
These urged consumers to buy Christmas Seals to fight tuberculosis.
People were also encouraged to drink milk to prevent and cure
tuberculosis. We are offering a collection of 11 Christmas Seal
milk bottle collars for the years 1937-1947. They are all different.
They are approximately 11" in length and are in excellent
condition. Sold as a set. (Stock number 005Seals) $75.00
