New York Crystal Palace Plate. The Crystal Palace built for the
Great Exhibition in London spawned many imitators. In New York
just two years after the London Exhibition a Crystal Palace was
constructed in New York. Our 10.5" blue and white cake plate
was manufactured by Johnson Bros. England, Patent No. 111255.
The New York Crystal Palace - International Industrial Exhibition
plate was part of the Historic America series. It is in remarkable
fine condition with no cracks or chips. There is a black marker
line on the back. This 150 year old plate is a rare and wonderful

encountered a Pan-Am textile souvenir as marvelous as this one.
There is a buffalo head in each corner, the logo of the fair in
the center, and it reads "Pan-American Exposition 1901 Buffalo
U.S.A." It measures approximately 21" square. There
is an opening for the pillow filling with button closures. It
is slightly faded but still in remarkably good condition for its

Glass latticework with gold painted flowers surrounds a reverse

Crystal Palace Plate. "Present from the Crystal Palace."
A rare exposition souvenir from the Great Exhibition held in Hyde
Park London in 1851. The Crystal Palace, designed by Sir Joseph
Paxton, was one of the finest examples of proto-modern architecture
of the 19th Century. The 8.25" sepia and white souvenir plate
has an image of the Crystal Palace in the center and the rim edged
in gold. On the back it is marked "Made in Austria."
Some of the gold has been rubbed off, but there are no cracks

Pan American Exposition, Buffalo 1901 - It's Purpose and Its Plan
with illustrations. Wonderful 48 page booklet has a gold, blue
and white cover in the Pre-Raphaelite style. The booklet is profusely
illustrated with black and white photos, etchings and fabulous
full page color illustrations. The cover and spine are rubbed
and the interior pages have some water damage on the right edge.
In spite of the condition it is one of the most beautifully illustrated
