A25 - Album of World's Inventors - Published by Allen & Ginter Tobacco, Richmond, Virginia. Souvenir Albums of this type were probably intended to replace the individual tobacco cards. The smoker saved coupons packed with cigarettes. He could redeem 75 to 100 coupons for the desired album. This album was issued in the 1888 to 1890 period. The album pictures the images of the subject cards of the inventors with the images of their inventions in the background. The album is made from loose leaf cardboard pages with string binding. Far scarcer than the individual cards. Excellent condition. (Stock number A25album1) SOLD
