Albums of this type were probably intended to replace the individual
tobacco cards if the smoker desired. They were purchased with
75 to 100 coupons packed with Old Gold, Vanity Fair, Sweet Lavender
and other cigarettes. This album was issued circa 1890 with the
images of card series Fancy Bathers (Burdick 187) with additional
full-page illustrations similar to the covers.. Far scarcer than
the individual cards. Some minor cover creases. Overall Excellent
condition.Front ocver has damage at the lower string hole and
at lower left corner (a45album) SOLD
