Women's Anti-New Deal Literature

Brochure and Handbills for the Independant Coalition of
American Women. When Franklin Delano Roosevelt introduced
his New Deal programs in the early 1930's they were by no means
univerally accepted. A bipartisan group of women organized to
oppose the New Deal and support Roosevelt's opponent Alf Landon.
The issues included increased inflation, growth of government
and taxes, waste and inefficiency in government. States Rights
and more. Issues which continue to remain with us today. This
lot consists of an 8 page brochure and three different handbills.
