Master Plates for Braille Maps
We have had the good fortune to acquire a small collection
of the master plates used to produce Braille maps. These plates
were impressed on paper. The dots created the outline of the geographic
area thus enabling the blind to picture the configuration of land
and water. These fascinating large metal map plates depict the
ancient and modern world. They measure approximately 24.5"
x 22.25"
