
Palmer Cox - Brownie Collectibles
We were delighted to find two Palmer Cox Brownie mugs in northern
New Hampshire. These late nineteenth century figures are generally
credited as being the forerunners of the modern cartoon character.
Each handled mug measures 2.75" tall with a rim diameter
of 3" There are no marks on the cups.

A remarkable piece of late-nineteenth century illustration,
this 9.5" x 9.25" handkerchief is decorated with the
famous Brownies drawn by Palmer Cox. Marked Designed by Palmer
Cox Pat. July 10. 1894. This item exceeds the width of our scanner
and is compete with intact binding on all sides. Stain in upper
right quadrant, a wear hole in lower left quadrant in spite of
this is a respectable example of a rare piece. (005brownie) SOLD
