Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus Costumes &
Uniforms
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a small piece
of circus history. Everyone who has been to the circus has been
wowed by the dazzling costumes of the performers. From the whimsical
garb of the clowns to the ornately sequined costumes of the featured
entertainers all are part of the glittering and magical effect
of the show. We have acquired a small collection of costumes and
uniforms that came from the estate of Laura & Fred Landrum
of Venice, Florida. The Landrums were longtime collectors of circus
memorabilia. They created their own museum so that others could
enjoy their wonderful finds. Because the Landrums lived close
to the winter home of Ringling Bros. Circus they were able to
acquire many costumes that the performers we willing to part with.
We do not know the original owner or the size of these garments
although they look quite small to us. Click on the picture to

Fabulous sequined costume includes a one piece jumpsuit with
bell bottom legs and a coordinating jacket. This incredibly heavy
(12 pounds) Brooks van Horn outfit is in wonderful condition.
It is decorated with pink, magenta, gold and silver sequins. It
measures approximately 56" from shoulder to hem and 17"

Woman's bareback rider (?) costume is made of forest green
velvet with sequined gold braid trim and a white under-ruffle.
It is approximately 28" from the shoulder to the bottom of
the ruffle and appears to be very small. (Stock number 003Costume02)

Purple female clown jumper has purple ruffles and large pink
and red stars. It measures 39" from the top of the suspenders

"Keystone Kop" clown jacket is blue with gold trim
and a large white star. It is a very small jacket that would be
worn by one of many clowns emerging from a very small car. Velcro

Security guard shirt has button down pockets and a wonderful
Ringling Bros. patch on each shoulder. We believe it is size medium.
