A Rare Plug Tobacco Related Letter
A Signed hand written letter on the staionary of the Trade
Mark Association of Plug Tobacco Manufacturers. Dated July 11,
1889 this letter is signed by Theodore E. Allen. Secretary of
the Association and was sent to Charles H. Barkelew, Treasurer
of the association and Lorillard's representative, who has initialed
the letter. The advises or two new brands of plug from Daniel
Scottten & Co - "Pullman' and "Scotten's Vine Wood.
Samples of the paper plug tags and strips are affixed to the letter.
Some corner wear at upper right and lower left. Otherwise fine.
