In the nineteenth century, many smaller tobacco companies
had success in selling their brands of cigarettes and tobacco
before they are acquired by the tobacco trust. Wm. S. Kimball
& Co. had success with Vanity Fair and Old Gold Cigarettes
among other brands. This embossed and diecut sign was used to
advertise the product. This 8.75" x 11.5" vision of
a gypsy girl is an excellent represention of the advertising art
of this time. There is damage tio the edges and tears which have
been taped on the reverse. This is nonetheless a rare and desirable
collectible. (Stock number 003Kimball) $150.00
