Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey. A most unusual and novel Ringling
Bros. poster with a clan of monkeys headed for the big top. We
believe it dates from the 1930's or early 1940's. It is signed
in the plate Lawson Wood. It has numerous condition problems.
It has been trimmed, has folds and has been glued to heavy paper.

Tom Mix Circus. Tom Mix and Tony in Person. Tom Mix, the iconic
movie cowboy, purchased the Sam B. Dill Circus in 1935 and renamed
it the Tom Mix Circus. It had a cast of 150. The circus failed
in 1938 during the heart of the Depression. It has creases, paper
loss at the left edge, signs of paper adhesion. Approx. 26"

Ringling Bros., and Barnum & Bailey Circus - The Greatest
Show on Earth. Classic 1940's Ringling Bros. poster in less than
desirable condition. This piece has been trimmed and then pasted
onto heavy weight paper. The poster measures approx. 40.5"
x 26" The paper measures 45" x 30" (Stock Number

Meister Nadelohr's Zirkus (Meister Nadelohr is the main character
of an East German television program that aired in the 1960's.
The name roughly means Master Tailor Eye of the Needle. The little
orange character is Pittiplatsch, a puppet representing a fictional
kobold character. The kobold is a sprite well known in German
folklore.) We believe these characters appeared in Zirkus Busch.
It was a large circus program specifically for children. A list
of the characters appears as does the admission price and the
days the circus will play. The poster measures approx. 23"
wide x 33" high. This is a rare and unusual poster depicting
characters that were beloved by everyone in East Germany. The
poster has a 3" tear along the lower edge. There is tape

Franzen Bros. Circus. This 1940's vintage poster depicts the lion,
tiger and bareback rider we all love. It has folds and a large
