Circus Window Cards
While the oversized circus poster was an imposing, attention
grabbing coming attraction, its baby brother, the window card
also played an important role. It was used extensively in smaller
venues and was frequently placed in store windows or tacked on
telephone poles. Although some were printed with the dates and
location of the circus, usually an area was left blank so that
