Lynn Bogue Hunt Game Bird Plates

Lynn Bogue Hunt (1878-1960) was a noted illustrator of birds. He has chronicled the life of birds in etchings, drawings, oils and in illustrations in nature books and sporting magazines. We are fortunate in being able to offer a set of eight plates illustrating game birds in their natural habitat. The black and white plates would make a striking display. On the reverse of each plate is a description of the bird, its habitat, range and habits. Included are: Mallards Climbing Out, Morning Flight - Canada Geese, Pheasants Getting Out, Ruffed Grouse Rising, Flushing Quail, Canvasbacks Flaring Out, Broadbills Decoying, and Jumping Pintails. The plates are 9" in diameter. There are no manufacturers marks and we do not known when they were produced. The set is in excellent condition, no chips or cracks. (Stock number 002huntplates) SOLD
