Peters and Reed, one of the most underappreciated potters of the
early 20th century, introduced Moss Aztec around 1912. They used
the local red clay to produce pieces with an unglazed exterior
molded in high relief with a green wash. The interior was glazed
so that it could hold water and serve as a functional piece. Our
dragonfly bowl measures 2.25" high with a 6.25" diameter.
No mark. There are no chips or cracks. There are some glaze imperfections.
