1938 Lone Ranger Composition & Cloth Doll


The Lone Ranger debuted on Detroit radio station WXYZ in 1933. He rode the airwaves for 23 years and over 3,000 broadcasts. His television career lasted more than 30 years. There were also Lone Ranger serials, full length movies, an animated series and a Sunday comic strip. There were many, many Lone Ranger items licensed and merchandised over the years. Our 16" composition and cloth doll dates to 1938. He is missing his hat, mask, neckerchief and gun. A piece of the holster remains. The material of the chaps is dried and cracked but "Lone Ranger" and a picture of the Lone Ranger can still be made out on them. There are some chips on the head.
