
Vintage Popeye Collectibles

A great piece of vintage carnival chalkware, probably from
the 1930's, portrays Popeye as a gruff and hardened sailor. Popeye
sits on his bedroll, chin on his fist, arm on his knee. He is
7' tall; the base measures 2.5" x 3.5" There are no
marks. There are a few chips under the brim of the hat and on
the back of the hat. A wonderful hard-to-find early piece. (Stock

This Popeye figure sits on a barrel of spinach with a spoon
and can in his hand. He is made from hard plastic and stands 8.25"
high with a 1.75" diameter at its base. It is marked "©KFS"
(King Features Syndicate) on the bottom. We believe he was produced
in the 1940's. It is soiled and some of the color has been scraped

This vintage Popeye bank is made of white metal, stands 7
inches high is 2 1/2" in diameter at its base. On the front
it is marked Popeye Bank and on the rear ©King Feat. Synd.
1929. There is a break in the metal around Popeye's Left shoe
(about 1 1/2")and a small crack by his right shoe. A scarce
